Amazing site. I believe I'm descended from your #9303 Johann Gottlieb Wilkening - if so I'm his 3rd great-grandson. My Johan G Wilkening was also born Feb 1857, immigrated via NY 07 Jul 1881. He married Huldah Abel 9 Jan 1884 in Illinois and lived in Illinois and also Saskatchewan til he died 15 May 1929. If you are interested I have some information on their 5 children down to my generation.

Again, well done. Oct 2014. Peter.

My line ties with yours at Johann Friedrich Hecht and Anna Engel Maria Hattendorf, my g-g-grandparents.

Johann Friedrich Hecht, born 28 Feb 1813, immigrated to USA in 1844, and changed his name to John Frederick Hatch. He died 20 Jun 1879 in Cicero, Onodaga, New York, USA.

Anna Engel Maria Hattendorf, born 30 Oct 1818, died 1896 in Syracruse, Onodaga, New York, USA, immigrated 2 Jan 1845 to USA with 2 children,
1.(Friedrich Ludwig Hecht) Louis Hatch
b. 16 Nov 1841 #20, Horsten...Germany
d. 5 Feb 1912 Fayetteville, Onodaga, New York, USA
and
2.(Heinrich Friedrich Conrad Hecht)Frederick Conrad Hatch
b. 28 Feb 1843 in #20, Horsten...Germany
d. 10 Jul 1915 in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri, USA

There were 6 other siblings, all born in New York from 1845 through 1859.

I descend from Frederick Conrad Hatch, my g-grandfather.

Do you want any more information on the Hecht/Hatch family in the USA?
