Thank you so much for this wonderful website! You have touched so many lives with your genealogy research. I didn't have any information on my grandmother's family until I ran across your page.

My grandmother is Gretka Elizabeth (Huisman)Towner. Her mother is Meta Jacobina Catherina (Gronewold) Huisman who happens to be the sister of Elise Gronewold - Verna's grandmother!

I just wanted to stop and say "job well done."
I am the grandchild of Beaulah who was married to Frederick Closen, both of Peoria at the time of Fred unnecessary death.
See I never knew the details into Fred's death and thanks to you and all of your dedicated work, I now know.
Now you even put Sams info in there. I'm impressed that some can murder a relative and regardless you still add the murdered info so that future generations can know and understand the true people, maturity and professionalism of the name Closen.

Friedrich Fiene is suposed to have had a sister who married a
VOLBERDING, and a brother HEINRICH who married IDA STRUEVE on 23SEP1864
at the Zion U.C.C. of Hanover Twp.church in Lake CO.,IN.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone with FIENE or REDEKER
connections in their families in the hope that information will be
obtained leading back to the towns of emmigration for Friedrich and
Dorothea."

I found a picture of my Fathers Maternal Grandmother , Mary Breme here! There too are of my Grandmother Wilhemine Rinkenberger and Grandfather August Peters! Sadly I only knew Grandfather Augie as Grandmother Minnie died before I was born. It was wonderful to see the picture and remember some of the names.
