She later renewed her baptismal convenant through confirmation on March 25, 1923, also at St ohn's. She was united in marriage to ohn Hartwig on June 30, 1937, at Wood Lake. They lived on a farm near Wood Lake until John's death in 1977. Alice then resided with her daughter and son-in-law in Grand Island. Alice was a member of St John's Lutheran Church of Wood Lake and was also a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Grand Island.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Larry (Donna) Reed of Grand Island, Nebraska; and one sister, Mrs. Howard (Erna) Reiten of Granit Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; one brother; and her parents. Blessed be her memory. |
