'KICK FROM COLT FATAL TO CHILD REYNOLDS, NE NOV 21, 1928 Lloyd Buchmeier, ten year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Buckmeier, farmers of the Thompson vicinity, died as the result of a recent kick on the head by a young colt, and was buried in the Fairbury cemetery. The lad had accompanied his father to do the chores and in passing back of a colt was struck over the eye by the animals heels. After several days in hospital infection set and died.1
