Obituary | Obituary: The obituary for Irene was recorded. Irene C Schmidt PONTIAC - Irene C Neitz Schmidt, 78, of 601 Indiana Ave., Pontiac, died at 10:35am Saturday (Feb 23, 2002) at Livingston Manor Nursing Home, Pontiac. Her funeral will be at 10:30am Tuesday at St Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac, Father Tom Holloway officating. Burial will be in St Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Pontiac. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm Monday at Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac; or Livingston Manor Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 25, 1923, in Emington, the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Arnolts Hogan. She married John Neitz in August 1945. He died in September 1982. She later married Raymond Schmidt on Nov 29, 1985. He survives. Survivors include one son, Joe (Kathy) Neitz, Bloomington; three daughters, Carol (Jim) Miller, Pontiac; Sandy (Rich) Harlan, Flanagan; and Kay Morgan, Pontiac; one step-daughter, Janice (Jim) Shane, Las Vegas, Nev.; and one step-son, Dale (Pam) Schmidt, Streator. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Lori Miller, Bloomington; Rob (Stephanie) Miller, Pontiac; Amy (Matt) Baker, Flanagan; Joe (Audrey) Harlan, El Paso; Carissa (Jason) Webster, Kempton; Sarah Neitz, Bloomington; and John Neitz, Bloomington; six great-grandchildren, Clayton Miller; Ryan and Emma Baker; Samantha Harlan, and Madisyn and Samuel Webster, and four step-grandchildren, Emily Schmidt, Streator; Jennifer (Scott) Waggoner of Washington state; Dqwn Shane, Las Vegas, Nev.; and JD (Kelly) Shane, Boulder, Colo.2 |
