Ruby C Miller
Mrs. Ruby C Miller, a native of Kaufman County, died in Dallas on Wednesday, April 15. She had lived in Dallas for thirteen years, and was employed by the McCrory Corp. Funeral services were held from the Chapel of the Allen W Dees Funeral Home in Kaufman at 2:00pm Friday April 17, with the Rev F Thompson, vicar of the Church of Our Merciful Saviour officiating. Interment was in the Wilson Chapel Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers. Surviving are her daughter, Miss Shirley Miller of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs Prince Walker, Jr, of Kaufman and Mrs Crystal Young of Dallas; two brothers, B D Bailey of Mesquite and Roland Bailey of Kaufman; her parents, Mr and Mrs Ike Bailey of Kaufman and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jiba resident George Monroe (Shuck) B ailey, age 75, were held on April 2 at 10am at the Anderson Clayton Brothers Chapel in Kaufman with Rev Katherine Pawkett and Rev D G Council officiating. Interment was in the Wilson Chapel Cemetery. Mr Bailey died on March 31, 1990. He was born in Kaufman on March 2, 1915, and lived in the area all of his life. He married the former Mildred Birdsong on May 6, 1944. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was engaged in farming all of his life. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Bailey of Kaufman; son Les Bailey of Kaufman; two granddaughters, Casey and Brittany of Kaufman; daughter-in-law, Karen Bailey; brothers, Hardy Bailey of New York, Travis Bailey of Dallas and Kenneth Bailey of Kaufman; sisters, Maxine Nelson of Kaufman, Verna Jo Sullivan of Dallas and Bonnie Church of Charlotte, North Carolina. Pallbearers were Ricky Narramore, Travis Bailey, Mike Hamilton, Chuck Covington, O B Miller and Bob Miller.2
