[from Beatrice Daily Sun - 23 Nov 2007] Clinton Lovelle Cornelius, 82, Beatrice, went to his heavenly home on March 29, 2007. Lovelle was born on November 12, 1924 at Pickrell, NE. He was the son of Fred and Pauline Cornelius. He graduated from Barneston High School in 1942. On September 13, 1953 he married Dot Hubbard at Trinity Lutheran Church in Beatrice. Lovelle was employed at Dempster Mill Mfg. Company as a pattern maker from 1947 until retiring in 1982. He was a fifty year member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and sang in the choir. At the present time he was a member of St. John Lutheran church in Beatrice. He enjoyed farming, wood working, gardening and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Dot; sons, Michael and wife Laurie of Denton, NE, Richard Cornelius of Loveland, CO; 6 grandchildren, Amanda Carey and husband Ben of Lincoln, Chelsie Cornelius of Loveland, CO, Ashley Buhr and husband Benjamin of Seward, NE, Travis Cornelius of Denton, Tayler Cornelius of Loveland, CO, T.J. Cornelius of Denton; great- grandsons, Gavin and Payton Carey of Lincoln; brother, Lowell of Beatrice; sisters, Glenda Murray and husband Dick of McPherson, KS, Lila Renner and husband Bob of Lincoln, NE, Sondra Germer and husband Larry of Diller, NE; an aunt, an uncle; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Weldon and Stella Hubbard of Beatrice, Stella and Ed Peck of Fairbury, Sylvia Hubbard of Firth and Jeanne Hubbard of Minnesota. Lovelle was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Pauline (Schroeder) Cornelius and daughter-in-law Becky Kuntz Cornelius. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church, sixth and Washington streets, Beatrice, with Pastor David Kramer and Pastor Joann Kramer, officiating. A family prayer service will be at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the church. Private family inurment services will be at 10 a.m. at the Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. A memorial has been established to St. John Lutheran Church or to the family’s choice with Naomi Kohrs and Marilyn Higgins in charge. No viewing. A guest book for signatures will be at Harman-Wright Mortuary 7th and Elk streets, Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. A register book is also available online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com Harman-Wright Mortuary in charge of arrangements.3 |
