Memo17 April 2024Memo: Names, names, naMes.  Ole and family had different surnames.  He was born to Hans Nielsen and therefor his surname was Hansen, or was it?  He was born at Dalastugu (presumably a farm name) and therefore he had the option of using Dalastugu as his surname.  His oldest son was named Hans Andreas Olsen at birth but died as Hans O Bergh (probably a misspelling of Bergum.  Bergum was the surname used by Ole and his youngest daughter Hanna when they emmigrated to America in 1901.
