From The Flora Daily News-Record, Flora, IL - May 10, 1940 Mrs. Nancy Nelson Dies At Her Home After Long Illness Mrs. Nancy Jane Nelson, 77, died last evening at 8 o'clock, after a lingering illness at her home on East Fourth street. Mrs. Nelson was the widow of Anderson Nelson who died six years ago. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Presbyterian church with the pastor, Rev. B. Heideman, officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood cemetery and nephews of the deceased will serve as casket bearers. The body was removed this afternoon from the Hancock Funeral Home to the family home, where it will lie in state until the hour of final rites. Mrs. Nelson is survived by two sons, John Nelson of Flora and Sylvester Nelson of Eagle Grove, Ia.; two daughters, Mrs. Goldie Glassford of Flora, and Mrs. Florence Haugen of Grasston, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Will Lynn, Mrs. Levi Lynn and Mrs. Ed. Loveland, all of Flora; and one son, Robert Creek of Montana.3
