WOOSTER -- Mary Christine Munshower, 89, loving mother, grandmother and family liaison, of Wooster, died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Smithville Western Care Center.

She was born Dec. 24, 1920, in New Bethlehem, Pa., daughter of the late Ira Clyde and Josephine Maybelle (Wilkins) Diven. Mary married Lloyd Munshower on March 18, 1941. He preceded her in death in 2004.

She worked for Rexroth retiring in 1983 and had also worked at Freedlander's and Frito-Lay.

Mary was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Rebekah Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and Dorcas Circle.

She is survived her daughters, Karen (Bill) Kick, Mansfield, Lynette J. (Daniel) Reece, Knoxville, Tenn., and Nila Jo (Jeffrey) Eklund, New Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harry Page Diven, California.

Along with her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jasper; and brothers, Howard and Fred Diven.

Services will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ, 150 E. North St., Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 11 a.m. with the Revs. Kevan Franklin and Glenn Royer officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Friends will be received at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.

Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.2
