Ethel E. (Mrs. Carl) Schuette, age 93, of Faribault, died on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at the District One Hospital, Faribault. Services will be held at St. Luke's Church, Faribault, on Monday, Dec. 12, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Mark A. Noren officiating. Interment will be held at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault. Visitation will be held at the church for one hour prior to the services on Monday. Ethel E., daughter of Clarence W. and Anna Marie (Schuenke) Piepho, was born on Dec. 9, 1911, in Faribault. She married Carl Schuette on June 28, 1947, in Faribault; and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1978. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Kuhlman's Jewelry, Faribault, for over 30 years. She is survived by three siblings, Ralph (Joyce) Piepho of Faribault, Mildred Duchene of Ohio and Darlene Gerald of California; a special niece, Elaine Chavie of Faribault; nieces; nephews; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Donald Piepho, Evelyn Mensing, Valeria Bauer and Helen Berke.2

Mrs. Albert C. Bauer, age 47, passed away this morning at the Rice County District One Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the St. Luke's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Kenneth Worthman officiating. Interment will be in the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park of Faribault. Friends may call at the Boldt Funeral Home from Wednesday afternoon and evening until noon on Thursday and at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of services. Mrs. Bauer is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Wilfred Chavie (Elaine), five sons, Roger, Richard, Orville, Jerome and Glenn and 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Piepho of Faribault; five sisters Mrs. Carl Schuette (Ethel) of Faribault, Mrs. Erven Mensing (Evelyn) of West Concord, Mrs. Bert Berke (Helen) of Minneapolis, Mrs. Charles Duchene (Mildred) of Minneapolis and Mrs. Clarence Gerold (Darlene) of Long Beach, Calif. and two brothers, Donald Piepho of Faribault and Ralph Piepho of Faribault.5

Clarence Piepho
Funeral services for Clarence Piepho, 83, were held on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Faith United Church of Christ in Bertha, with Reverend Orville Sauter officiating. Clarence passed away on December 7 at Lakewood Health System, Staples.
Clarence was born to John and Mary (Kuhlman) Piepho in Fergus Falls on July 14, 1923.
He served in the Navy during WWII. On April 30, 1947 Clarence was united in marriage to Alice Adella Terry in Fergus Falls. Together, they farmed in the Eagle Bend area until he retired at 54. After that he enjoyed many years of fishing, golfing, bowling, hunting and part time farm work. Clarence was very active with the school, church and Eagle Bend Produce boards as well as an active member of the Lions Club, American Legion and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin, Edgar, Alvin, Lloyd, John, Leonard and infant brother; and sisters, Violet, Dorothy and Alvera.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice; five children, Kenenth (Patricia) of Coon Rapids, Rodney (Twyla) of Eagle Bend, Connie (Steve Bren) of Orono, Daniel (Debra) of Minneapolis and Ricky of Coon Rapids; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kevin, Chad, Travis and Scott Piepho and Doug Peterson and Dale Olson.
Interment with full military honors was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.1

Twyla Piepho

Funeral services for Twyla Elaine Piepho, 57, of Eagle Bend were held on Saturday, January 15 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend with Pastor Marli Danielson of the Faith United Church of Christ in Bertha presiding. Twyla passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at her home in Wykeham Township.

Twyla was born on February 13, 1953 to Clarence and Corrine (Sursley) Lennes of Bertha. She was united in marriage with Rodney Clarence Piepho on November 25, 1972 at Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend.

Twyla lived in the Eagle Bend area her entire life. She was a farm wife as well as owner and operator of Sisty’s Greenhouse. She enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, sewing and cooking. She liked working on crafts and loved flowers.

Twyla was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jack Lennes and infant Bobby Lennes; and brothers-in-law Ronnie Gray and Dave Johnson.

She is survived by her husband Rodney; daughter Bobbie Jo Piepho (and companion Sheldon Pahl) of Alexandria; sons Kevin Jay (Yvonne) of Alexandria and Chad Clarence (and companion Angela Kolas) of Brainerd; 11 grandchildren; sisters Karen (Allen) Lenz of Miltona, Clarice Johnson of McGregor, Sheila Faulk of Rose City and Michelle (James) Larson of Oak Grove; and brother Tom (Shirley) Lennes of Eagle Bend.

Honorary pallbearers were Twyla’s grandchildren: Derrek, Dylan, Calen and Dawson Piepho, Josette Opsal, Courtney, Madyson, Alyssa and Tyler Kolas, Riley and Kaylee Pahl.4
