Private funeral services were held for Chris and Sharon Lynn Turney on December 23, 2014 at Gipson Funeral Home with interment following on December 24, 2014 in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Robin Chris Turney was born on October 20, 1956 in Rusk while Sharon Lynn Turney was born on January 12, 1955 in Lufkin. They both died on December 19, 2014 in Angelina County. Sharon was a beautician and owner/operator of Sharon's Styles Unlimited. Chris was the director of materials for CHI St. Luke's Health Memorial in Lufkin. They also had numerous other properties throughout the city. Survivors include their son, Klint Alston Turney of Houston; daughter, Kristal Reagan and her husband Sam and their grandson, Rylon Reagan, all of Lufkin. Chris is survived by his brothers, James Ernest Turney of Houston and John Timothy Turney of The Woodlands. Sharon is survived by her parents, James and Marion Holiday; sister, Brenda Duren and husband Dave; and brother, Wayman Holiday and his wife Doris, all of Lufkin. She is also survived by her close friends, Donald Morgan, Susie and Jerry Powell, as well as other relatives and friends. Chris is preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Mary B. Turney, while Sharon is preceded in death by her best friend, Margaret Morgan. The Turney's loved animals; in lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated if given to the Kurth Animal Shelter.
