On 20 Apr 1687 John Meador was granted 640 acres of land including 450 acres of land "formerly granted unto Thomas Browning by pattent dated 30 Nov 1657, and by Browning assigned unto John Cook on 4 May 1659, and by Cook assigned unto Thomas Medor on 9 Apr 1664." The additional 190 acres of land was for the "transportation of four persons into the Colony." Part of the 450 acres of land was sold by William Meador No. ME-17, the grandson of John Meador.
Elizabeth (White) Meador died prior to 10 Dec 1694, on that date in a deed, "John Meador, Senior, widow", gives Land "to my children that I had by my wife, Elizabeth Meador, deceased." The children listed in the deed are: son Richard, son John, son Thomas, son Hope, daughter Rachell, daughter Elizabeth, and daughter Esther.
The will of John Meador was written 17 Oct 1721 and probated 21 Nov 1721. His second wife is not mentioned so it is presumed that she predeceased him. Children listed in the will are son Thomas, daughter Rachel Jordan, daughter Eliza Armstrong, daughter Dinah Tribille (Tribble), daughter Mary Meador, and sons Jonas, Jobe, Jason and Joshua, the two youngest being under seventeen.1
