CHARLES L. BUNCE
Carlisle, Iowa
CHARLES L. BUNCE, 67, passed away at The Village in Indianola, Iowa, July 24, 2008. Charles worked at AT&T in their computer systems. Chuck was discharged as a Radioman 2nd Class in the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son Timothy.
He is survived by his son, Terry (Janet) BUNCE, Carlisle, Iowa; daughter, Patti (Paul) DARTER, of Rogers, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy HOOPER and Pat NOWELS.
Services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, Iowa. Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors in Carlisle Township Cemetery, South 5th Street, Carlisle, Warren County, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Fund at the Village in Indianola, Iowa.2 |

On Saturday August 14, 2010 Patricia went to be with the Lord after a short illness.
Patricia (Pat) led a full and rewarding life. She was born January 9, 1931, in DesMoines, Ia., the daughter of Bill and Dorothy Bunce of Carlisle. During her school days, she participated in band, glee clubs and basketball. She graduated Salutatorian of her class. She was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist church. She also enjoyed participating in a bowling league with her sister and friends. Pat joined the De sMoines Register and Tribune following graduation and celebrated 41 years of service at the time of her retirement.
In 1948 Pat entered into marriage with John (Jack) Jay Nowels of Carlisle. They made their home there until Jacks death in 1968. Pat continued her life in Carlisle until 2003 when she moved to Williamsburg Ia. to be by her sister. Pat was an avid gardener, sports enthusiast (GO HAWKS), animal lover and crafter. She loved spending time with her family. She especially liked attending sporting events, fishing and mushroom hunting.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Lester) Hooper of Williamsburg, Ia.; sister-in-laws, Pat Reynolds and Ginny James of Carlisle, Ia.; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chuck Bunce; husband, Jack Nowels; and nephew Jeff Hooper.2 |

EULA PIEPHO
Eula "Peep" Piepho, 79, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007. She was born July 24, 1927, in Mankato, Minn. Eula graduated from Hamline University, as a registered nurse. Her distinguished career was spent at Midway Hospital, Veterans Medical Center and Group Health, now Health Partners. She was an award winning dancer as a child and upon retirement in Las Vegas, joined the women's Dance Line Group in Sun City. She also enjoyed being a world traveler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Piepho. She is survived by her sisters, Beverly Simmet and Elaine Henry; nephews, Darryl Henry and Warren Henry; nieces, Sharon Marquardt, Linda Salfer, Jillene Salfer and GaBrielle Cate; and many great nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, with reception to follow, both at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park, MN 55445.1 |
