Virginia M. Jennings, 77, of Flora, IL died at 5:30 PM Friday, August 4, 2006 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
She was born May 12, 1929 in Shelby County, IL to Fred Raymond & Ruth Delight (Denier) Gordon. She married Stephen Earl Jennings on February 10, 1946 in Clay County, IL. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2001. She was a former cashier at Alpha Beta Store and a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Flora.
She is survived by 3 sons: Stephen E. (Bonnie) Jennings III of Garden Grove, CA, Douglas A. Jennings of Fairfield, Danny L. (Jane) Jennings of Fairfield; 3 brothers: John Gordon of Cape Coral, FL, Jack Lee Gordon of Decatur, Wayne Gordon of Mahomet; 3 sisters: Doris Green of Decatur, Marilyn Bissey of Clay City, Jennie Gowan of Daytona Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 1 sister.
As per Virginia's request, cremation rites were accorded and there will be no services. Frank & Bright Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.2 |
