Obituary14 February 1994Obituary: The obituary for Florence was recorded on 14 February 1994. DRANGMEISTER: Florence E. Drangmeister passed away Feb. 7 in Whiting, Ind. She was born Dec. 30, 1908, in Dyer, Ind. Mrs. Drangmeister worked for Standard Oil in Indiana for many years. Upon her retirement, she moved to Silver City, where she lived for 15 years before returning to Indiana. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Kantowski of Albuquerque, and three sons, Richard and his wife, Christine, of Silver City, Tom and his wife, Kathy, of Albuquerque, and Jack and his wife, Rene, of W.Va. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, including Walter and Tim of Albuquerque, Cooper of Salt Lake City, and Felicia of Silver City; and six great-grandchildren, including Laura, Melanie and Staci, daughters of Walter and Sandra Drangmeister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in 1944, and her son-in-law, Ronald Kantowski, in 1993. Services were held Feb. 9 in Dyer. Donations in her memory may be made to the Silver City Senior Citizens Center.5
