Drag began his professional coaching career at Alamogordo High School, and subsequently taught and coached at Western New Mexico University, University of Southern Colorado and Adams State College, and is well known around the Rocky Mountain region for well-disciplined, focused teams that played with heart. Drag was preceded in death by his dad, Walter, and mom, Frances; his first wife, Christine; and a brother, Jack. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his children, Wally Drangmeister and wife, Carol, Felecia Drangmeister, Cooper Drangmeister, Tim Drangmeister and wife, Susie, and Sandy Drangmeister; brother, Tom Drangmeister, and sister, Pat Lennens; five grandchildren, Laura, Melanie, Staci, Davis and Lily Drangmeister; and a host of other family and friends.
