Mrs Bertha May Cash, 68, 1014 Cornell Dr, died at 5:30pm Saturday in Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Born Aug 6, 1897 in Scioto County, she was a daughter of Wesley and Rachel Brineger Faulkner. She was married to Lloyd Cash, who died Jan 28, 1953.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, Everett of 136 E Kibby; and Delmar of Sledge, Mass; five daughters, Mrs Arthur (Roberta) Bickham of 4379 S Dixie Highway; Mrs Harold (Ava) Melton of 1226 W Wayne; Mrs Alice Cain of 1224 W Wayne; Mrs David (Delores) McCullough of Mount Airy NC; and Mrs Stanley (Marie) Lawrence of 1014 Cornell Dr; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Two sons preceeded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday in Chiles and Sons - Laman Chapel with Rev Clyde Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3pm today at the funeral home.5

Mrs. Clara Delores “Dee” Cash McCullough, 77, of 1513 West Wensley Drive, Mount Airy, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 9, 2014, at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center in Elkin. Mrs. McCullough was born November 28, 1936, in Allen County, OH, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Bertha Faulkner Cash. Dee was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her talents were many, as friends and family well remember. She could make anything beautiful. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, David Arthur McCullough of the home; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Maureen and Richard Beggs of Kernersville, Melanie and Ken Billett of Irving, TX, Jennifer McCullough of the home, and Kathleen McCullough and John Evans of Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Mary Alyce McCullough of Winston-Salem and Stephanie Smith Turner and her husband, Ryan Turner, of Dallas, TX; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Roberta Bickham, Ava Melton, and Marie and Stan Lawrence, all of Lima, OH, and Alice Cisco of Caledonia, OH; and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCullough was preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence Delmar Cash, Everett W. Cash, Robert Eugene Cash, Charles Wesley Cash, and Virgil Roy Cash. The family expresses deep appreciation to the staff of Hugh Chatham Nursing Center for their loving care, especially Chris and Laura. To celebrate Dee’s life, the family will receive friends Friday, April 11, 2014, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or UNC-TV, 10 TW Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709-4900.3

Charles Wesley Cash, 42 of 524 S Main St, an employe of the Lima Ordnance Depot, was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital at 4:30pm Friday following a heart attach he suffered while at work.

A Lima resident for 30 years, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Cooties Lodge. He was born Jul 19, 1914 in Waverly.

Surviving are his widow, Ruth; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Cash, 1511 S Main St; three brothers, Everett, 509 Holmes Ave, Virgil, Van Wert, and Delmar, Sledge, Miss, and five sisters, Miss Marie Cash, 1511 S Main St, Mrs Delores McCullough, Madison, Ind, Mrs Alice Cain, 217 W Elm St, Mrs Irene Bickham, 1102 1/2 N Main St, and Mrs Ava Jane Melton, 217 1/2 E Spring.

The body will remain in the Charles & Son Funeral Home where services will be at 2pm Monday, Rev Maurice White will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 7pm Saturday.4
