Ruth Mae (Bryant) Gustin, 84, of Anderson, died July 3, 2004, at St. John's Health System following an extended illness.
She was born May 5, 1920, in Madison County where she was a lifelong resident.
For 16 years, she was an Avon representative. She also sold the crafts that she made.
She attended Pleasant Valley Church. Her family came first. She was a member of the UAW Local 662 Craft Club and TRIAD. She was often the decorator for events at Fall Creek Heights School. She was a CBer whose handle was ?Friday.?
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lovett Gustin, to whom she was married on May 30, 1941, at Pleasant Valley Church by the Rev. Dewey Zent; five children, Robert L. and wife, Sandra, Gustin of Pendleton, John William Gustin of Laporte, James E. and wife, Linda, Gustin of Markleville, and Pamela Sue Oster and Linda Jolene Gustin, both of Anderson; nine grandchildren, Naidne (Gustin) and husband Aaron Bilinski of Brownsburg, and Molly Gustin, Joe Gustin, Annie Gustin and Jay Gustin all of Chesterton, Kris Gustin and fiancee Ashley Ginder of Pendleton, Kelley (Gustin) and husband Randy O'Dell of Eaton, Ohio, Brad Oster and Ryan Oster, both of Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Madisen O'Dell and Tyler O'Dell, both of Eaton, Ohio, and Braden James Gustin of Pendleton; a very special sister, Maxine (Bryant) Frazee Emswiller of Muncie; special nephew, Max Frazee; sister-in-law, Mary (Gustin) and husband Max Markle of Markleville; two nieces and four nephews and many special friends including, Maxine Hunter-Crawley.

Ruth Mae Byrant Gustin 84, of Anderson, passed away July 3, 2004.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lovett Gustin; five children; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 8, in Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes, South Chapel, Anderson. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Clara Bryant, 86, of 2107 E. 37th St., died Tuesday afternoon at St. John?s Hospital.
She had lived in this community most of her life, born in Waverly, Ohio.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Delbert (Maxine) Emswiller and Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Gustin, both of Anderson and Mrs. George (Wanda) Shaw of Chesterfield; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Murphy and Mrs. Mary Davy, both of Anderson and Mrs. Ethel Carlton of Roseburg, Ore.; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sells and Rowe Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Alston, pastor of the East Lynn Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Anderson - Robert Lovett Gustin, 89, passed away on February 8, 2011 at St. John's Health System.

He was born December 2, 1921 in Henry County, Indiana and lived nearly all his life in Madison County, graduating from Markleville High School.

He began his career working at an automobile dealership in Middletown, worked at Allison Transmission in Indianapolis and retired from Delco Remy-Anderson (UAW Local 662) as a toolmaker. He farmed for a period of time and operated a lawn equipment business for many years.

Robert and Ruth were actively involved with the local schools while rearing their five children. They served on various committees at Fall Creek School and Markleville High School. They were avid fans of their children's and grandchildren's participation in sports and other extra-curricular events. He was also dedicated to IU basketball, Indy Colts, NASCAR and the Indy 500. He remained committed to his local community by serving on the Adams Township Advisory Board for many years and was instrumental in planning the fire station for Adams Township.

He is survived by his sons, Robert L (Sandra) Gustin, John William "Bill" Gustin, and James E. (Linda) Gustin; daughters, Pamela (Dale) Gehrke and Linda Gustin; grandchildren, Naidne (Aaron) Gustin-Bilinski, Molly, Joe, Anne, Jay and Kris (Ashley) Gustin, Kelley (Andy) Dillon, Brad (Jamie) Oster and Ryan Oster; great grandchildren, Layne Gustin, Braden & Brinley Gustin, Madisen O'Dell, Braylee Dillon, and Austin Robert and Abigail Mae Oster and sister, Mary (Max) Markle.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Mae (Bryant) Gustin; parents, May (Lovett) and Earl Gustin; daughter-in-law, Deeann (Kinsey) Gustin and niece, Debra (Markle) Griffith.

Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Robert
D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson.

Services will be Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 2:30 PM, at the funeral home, with his nephew, Rev. David Markle officiating.

Entombment will be in East Maplewood Cemetery Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Women's Alternative or Make a Wish Foundation.

Deeann K. Gustin, of Chesterton, died Friday, June 14, 2002 at her home. She was 54.

She was born March 21, 1948 in Anderson, Indiana the daughter of Francis M. and Clara E. (Hyatt) Kinsey.

She is survived by two sons, John J. and Jay M. Gustin of Chesterton; two daughters, Molly D. and Anne E. Gustin of Chesterton; a brother, Gary Kinsey of Florida; two sisters, Vicki (Alex) Stephens of Lake Nineveh, Ind. and Christina Kinsey, of California; parents, Francis M. (Alma) Kinsey of Indianapolis and Clara (Jim) Edelin of California and a grandmother, Iva Barnett of California. She was married to John W. “Bill” Gustin who survives in Portage.

She was an area resident since 1969 and was employed as a teacher in the Duneland Schools. She also ran the 1st Step Nursery School. She was a former member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority, a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association, the National Education Association and Liberty Bible Church.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date at Liberty Bible Church. Cremation will be at Heritage Crematory, Portage. No visitation is scheduled. Arrange-ments were handled by Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home.2
