A resident of Muncie for more than 50 years, she moved here from Randolph County. She was a member of the High Street Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine. Survivors include her husband, G.H. Piepho, a daughter, Mrs. Henry Farmer, Indianapolis; a step-daughter, Mrs. John McGarrell, Muncie; two stepsons, Clarence C. and Herbert G. Piepho, both of Muncie; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Bailey, Detroit, Mich.; and a brother, the Rev. Edgar Lucas, Ridgeville. Funeral services at the Piepho Chapel with Dr. Harold D. Neel officiating, assisted by the Rev. Duane Spiers. Entombment will follow in the Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday."³

She was born Nov. 7, 1922, in Ash Grove Township, Ill., the daughter of Walter and Mary Natschke Luecke. She married Howard H. Bohner Dec. 11, 1941, in Ash Grove Township. He survives of Milford. Other survivors include: two daughters, Carolyn (Raymond) Young of Cissna Park and Janet Bohner (Cornell Davis, fianc?) of Danville; one son, Duane (Kay) Bohner of Gilman and three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lisa) Young of Champaign, Cheryl Young of El Paso and Angela Young of Charleston. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters. Helen was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Milford. She enjoyed square dancing with the Hoopeston Sweet Corners. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Milford; Officiating: Rev. Jason Wagner; Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church; Burial: Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland; Memorials: Church Radio Ministry, Milford Ambulance Service or the donor's choice.
