He was survived by his wife, Lula, and the following children: Geo. States, Jr., Chestertown; Arthur States, of Baltimore; Mrs. Emily Sanders, of Baltimore; Harry States, of Rock Hall; Noble States at home; Wayne States, at home; Mrs. Clara Crew, of Queen Anne's; and Joe States, of Queen Anne's; also 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The pall bearers were as follows: Melvin, Allie and Leonard Crew, Sam Nickerson, Tom Irvin and Edgar Sanders. The funeral services were condcuted by Rev. Jackson, of Crumpton, at the home Sunday 2pm Burial at Crumpton Cemetery with Mr. Lane of Church Hill, as undertaker.²
