| Obituary | 14 Oct 1954 | Obituary: The obituary for Frank was recorded on 14 Oct 1954. [from Faribault Daily News- 14 Oct 1954] Funeral services for Frank J. Bosshart, 82, of Wheeling township, who passed away Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 5, at St. Lucas Hospital after a brief illness, were conducted Friday, with a brief family service at 1:45 p.m. at the home and at 2 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Wheeling. The Rev. John G. Siegle and the Rev. A. L. Rustad officiated at the services. At the home, Mrs. A. L. Rustad sang "Sometime We'll Undertand" and at the church she sang "Face To Face" and "Nearer My God To Thee" in German. Mrs. W. H. Keller was the organist. Burial took place in St. John's Cemetery, with the following friends as pallbearers: Reinhart Hafemeyer, Walter and Elmer Budde, Roger Homeier, Walter Meyer, and Anton Helberg. Relatives and friends came to the funeral from Minneapolis, Mantorville, Kasson, Pine Island, West Concord, Owatonna, Kenyon, Faribault, and Nerstrand. Mr. Bosshart, a lifetime resident of Wheeling Township, was born there on Oct. 4, 1872, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bosshart. He was married to Amanda Piepho on June 23, 1909, at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Wheeling. He was a member of the St. John's Church. Surviving him are his wife, Amanda; one daughter, Mrs. Arnold Keller of Wheeling; one son, Armin Bosshart of Faribault; four grandchildren: Gary, Sharon Ann, and Linda Bosshart and Craig Keller; and one brother, Henry Bosshart of Faribault.2 |
