Busher, 75 of 2135 Lower St. Dennis St., a retired surgeon and college medical instructer, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Unity Unitarian Curch, Portland and Grotto streets. Dr. Busher died Friday of a heart illness he suffered since his retirement in 1963. A native of Sioux Falls, S.D., he came to St. Paul in 1914 and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1919. A specialist in surgery, Dr. Busher was one-time chief of staff at St. John's Hospital. He also served on the faculties at the University of Minnesota and Concordia College. He was credited with inventing the automatic injector for diabetic treatment. Survivors include his widow, Helen: daughter. Mrs. Clayton Ochs, Bloomington, Minn.: sons. Herbert, St. Paul and John W., Eacinitas, Calif.: sister. Mrs Stella Bushman. St. Paul: and eight grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Memorials are preferred to the St. John's or St. Luke's hospital building funds.¹
Obituary	1968	Obituary: The obituary for Herbert was recorded on 1968. from Distinguished Service, in Minnesota Medicine, 1968. Dr. Herbert Busher was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where his father was a minister. He was no ordinary student and at an early age declared to his father that he did not wish to enter the ministry but instead would like to become a doctor. After graduating from Concordia College, Dr. Busher went to the University of Minnesota where he graduated from Medical School in 1919. After a year of interning at the University Hospital, Dr. Busher completed a surgical residency and immediately thereafter opened offices in the Lowery Medical Arts Building. He died January 26, 1967.¹
