From the Sioux City Journal - October 7, 2009 Virginia K. Kuklentz SIOUX CITY -- Virginia K. (Hitt) Kuklentz, 87, of Connelly Springs, N.C., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at Burke County Hospice Care Center in North Carolina following a brief illness. Virginia was born March 16, 1922, to John and Florence Hitt. She married Ralph Kuklentz and started a family in Sioux City. She had a daughter, Maureen, and a son, Ronald. Over the years, she was employed as an elevator operator in the Badgerow Building, a store clerk at Three Sisters Dime Store and a hostess at Milwaukee Wiener House for many years before retiring. She enjoyed going to town and walking around the mall. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughter, Johnna. She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Thompson-Lowman and her husband, Joe of Connelly Springs, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Vicki Kuklentz of Richland, S.D.; six grandchildren, Linda Rivers and her husband, Ed of Newton, N.C., Richard Thompson and his wife, Neelie of Drecksal, N.C., Julie Derochie and her husband, Dick of Sloan, Iowa, Jackie Pirner and her husband, Randy of Sioux City, Angel Groephe and her husband, Larry of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Lori Rabbi and her husband, Staci of Akron, Iowa; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Hitt; her husband, Ralph Kuklentz; a son, Ronald Kuklentz; and an infant great-grandson.4 |

Mrs. Breiner was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. All who knew her will miss her.
