Anderson April 5, 1922 - July 7, 2010 ASHLAND - Ruth E. Anderson, 88, of Ashland, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Home following a short illness. Ruth was born in Ashland, Ohio on April 5, 1922 to Joshua F. and Helen Mary (Carle) Moffett. She had been a resident of Ashland her entire life. She was employed at Philway Products for 25 years where she made circuit boards and later worked in the shipping department. On January 6, 1939 she was married to Earl E. Anderson who survives her. She is also survived by her son, Keith (Diane) Anderson of Ashland, daughter-in-law, Joan Stewart of Norwalk, OH; 3 grandchildren, Richard (Shelly) Anderson, Joseph (Delia) Anderson, Chris (Amber) Anderson; 8 great grandchildren, Cody Anderson, Ian Anderson, Dusten Anderson, Colton Anderson, Bailey Anderson, Isabella Anderson, Christopher Anderson and Gavin Harper; two sisters, Marjorie Atterholt of California, Delphine (Bob) Kinney of Ashland; and three sisters-in-law, Teresa Moffett, Betty Anderson and Mary Anderson all of Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Earl E. (Skip) Anderson killed in Action on June 23, 1969, two sisters Jean McPeck and Maxine McClain and two brothers, Carle Moffett and Jack Moffett. Ruth enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking and baking cookies for her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, July 12, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Dale-Roy Wookshop, 1256 Center St., Ashland, Ohio 44805.
