NoteSara Sophia Elisabeth Einfeld Maecken according to her marriage record was a daughter of Diederich Bernhard Einfeld who was a teacher of the orphanage in the town of Esens.  Her brother Daniel Wilhelm Einfeld was godfather to her children in 1820/24.  He was an apothecary in the town of Weener. However, in the book of Heinrich Buurman on the apothecaries of Ostfriesland Daniel Wilhelm is listed as a son of the pastor Jakob Daniel Einfeld in Asel who also for some time was a teacher of the orphanage in Esens. Buurman may be wrong with this statement, but Jakob Daniel can be the grandfather of Daniel Wilhelm Einfeld, so his father Diederich Bernhard Einfeld would have succeeded his father Jakob Daniel as a teacher of the orphanage in Esens. Further research in the church records of Esens, Asel and Wittmund will show the definite relationship. The Einfeld family was known in Ostfriesland since the 1730's, when Rudolf August Einfeld lived as an official in the town of Wittmund. He was probably a descendant of Rudolf August Einfeld and of Nicolaus Einfeld who were equerries at the courts of Hannover and Wolfenbuettel around 1700.1
