Ted: A while back we traded information on the Conrad and Margaret Hartwig Schaefer family. Thought you might be interested in the following:
1. Lloyd Shafer (b. 12/30/1935 at Reeder, ND), youngest son of Rheinhart Shafer, died 9/18/2008 at Reeder, ND (see SSDI);
2. Charles Shafer (b. 1/12/1910 in SD), son of Henry and Mamie * * * Shafer died 10/12/1968 in Wisconsin (see U.S. Veterans Gravesites, and Hillside Cemetery Registry, Poynette, WI). Your information for Vera motivated me to look, again, for Charles' death data.

I am the oldest grandchild of: Donald Lee Goodman,
son of Lubert Donald Goodman,
son of Marion Elison Goodman,
son of Frances M. Goodman.

Thanks for the info about our families.
I have been wanting to learn more about my ancestry for several years.
I drive an 18-wheeler so I don't get many chances to look this stuff up.
Thanks & God Bless.

My sister and I started researching our family tree on our dad's side. When I googled our grandmother's name your site came up. Her name is Grace C Cornelius. Her parents are William Alfred Cornelius and Nellie Fleming. Please feel free to email me if you would like more information to add to your website lkpblueeyes@hotmail.com. Thank you for all your efforts Leslie Kennedy

What a fascinating site you've created! Thank you for all our work.
I'm a descendent of Friedrich Mohling (1814-1896) and Catherine Dahling (1818-1904. Think our trees must connect somewhere. I'll keep looking.

Hi, my 2nd great-grandfather is Heinrich Fiene, born about 1828 in Hanover, Germany, died 3/11/1873 in Beecher, IL. I have always thought your Friedrich Fiene was his brother. Do you have any information that might make you suspect this as well? I do see they are both listed on the list of able-bodied males for the Civil War. Thanks!

Hi. I have enjoyed browsing your site. I was searching for information on my relative Florence Heimbecker Mortenson and found your interesting information.

I noted with interest two wedding dates for Florence and Norman Theodore Mortenson.

I found your Scandinavian family history more interesting than my own!

Thanks for making this family history available . . .

Loved your site. I am from the Detlef Leckband Family tree. Not quite sure how Detlef connects to Bremer, but he would have been my great-great grandfather. Emil my great grandfather. You only have two of Emil's nine children, Arthur Wilhem Leckband (b. 1897 d. 1986) was another of his sons and my grandfather. My father was Delbert Wayne Leckband (b. 1927 d. 2006). If you are interested I can give you more on Delbert and Arthur and a little on Emil. But, thanks for what you have.
