Comments: I am so impressed with your research. I had been trying to find my father's mother's lineage (Cornelius) and found your information. There were so many Cornelius' that it was frustrating for me until I found your site. Thank you so much.

Comments: This is sooo exciting! I've recently been inspired to research my Meier history, beyond our loved Meier Family Cook Book; if you're not familiar with it, it not only holds history in its recipes, but also outlines our family tree starting with John Meier (1838-1893), married to Engel Hesse (1849-1926). My Great Grandfather is Carl Meier (1889), married to Alma Schafer (1895). I noticed that your coverage of my family ended with Eldo Meier (1918). My Grandfather, Alvin Meier (1920), was the next child born, and five children after him. I guess it matters enough to post, because shortly thereafter comes ME!!!! I'm exhilarated with joy that I have the opportunity to begin my own genealogical research with such ease and prior expertise!!! Thank you, thank you for all the work and dedication that has gifted so many of us! Many blessings to you! With much Love and adoration, Lisa Marie (Meier, 1978) Beltjens

Comments: My mom, Virginia Ann (Broemser) Allred was the daughter of Ralph Broemser, May 9, 1908. He was the son of Frank Broemser and Judith Cornelius. He passed away in 1992 just before I entered the military. I spent alot of time with him and became very close to him. We hunted together, went to church together, worked in his shop and went for rides to nowhere in particular just to spend time together. Any other info you can send me about him or his family would be appreciated. Thanks.

Comments: I am still working on the Klosen/Closen Family history. John Michael Closen (1885-1965) and Anna Etta Hartwig (1888-1965) were my grandparents. I have recently made contact with Horst Klosen in Germany. He is also a part of the Klosen family history. He was not aware that he had (distant) relatives in Illinois.
