Mrs. Wilhelmine Consor, the daughter of Chris Piepho and his wife, Katherine nee Seegers, was born March 26, 1869 at Hanover, Lake county, Indiana. On April 25, 1869, she was baptized in the name of the Triune God and she publicly confirmed her baptismal vow in the Evangelical Zion church at Hanover, March 18, 1883.
March 3, 1889, she was united in holy wedlock with August Consoer and the young couple made their home in Blue Island, Ill, where three children, Henry, Laura and Lily, were born.
In the winter of 1902 she moved with her family to Iowa and they lived for six years on the August Bremer farm in Horton township. In 1908, Mr. and Mrs. Consoer bought a farm of their own, where Henry Consoer resides, and they lived there until Mr. Consoer passed away August 6, 1935. After the death of her husband Mrs. Consoer made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Alfred Hattendorf, until her death.
Sunday, November 23, she requested her pastor to give her Holy Communion for the forgiveness of sins, salvation and life eternal. November 25, she entered the hospital at Worthington, where she passed away at 12:30pm, November 28, at the age of 89 years, eight months, and two days.
She leaves to mourn her departure her two children, Henry and Laura (Mrs. Alfred Hattendorf), six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Her husband, one daughter, three brothers, five sisters, and seven grandchildren preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hattendorf and at Zion Lutheran church, Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Alfred R. Allmann, officiating.
