Today was the start of Round 6, the final round. Got to the infusion center at 8am this morning and met with Dr L at 8:30. He said that the blood tests were normal; that I should come back in a couple of weeks for more tests; have a follow-up PET scan in January, then CT scans after that – no mention of frequency at this time.
By 8:45am I was doing my pre-meds (anti-nausea and steroids) followed by the Rituxan and Bendamustine. Finished up a little after 2:30 and was home by 3pm.
Verna brought me lunch at 12:30. The nurses told her that during the morning the fire alarm went off (false alarm) in one of the restrooms about 20 feet from me and I didn’t hear it (I had my Bose noise cancelling headphones on and was napping). They thought that would make a good ad for Bose.
