Approaching 2 years in the trial - Thursday, May 6, 2021

This past Tuesday (May 4th) I had a regular follow-up visit following a regular CT Scan (every 16 weeks now). Blood chemistry is pretty much in line with what it has been all along. CT Scan was pretty much 'unremarkable', except for some small nodules that had grown slightly in the preceeding 16 weeks. Dr Ghosh suggested that we do a PET Scan to determine if the nodules were cancer, or not. So on Wednesday (May 5th) I had a PET Scan; got the results today and the results are that there is no active cancer cells (from eyebrows to mid thigh).

Other Updates:

  • ibrutinib: Have not taken any since about 5/25/20.
  • Venetoclax/placebo: I have picked my last 8 week supply this week. Will stop taking on June 28th.
  • Heart: No Afib since my cardioversion on 6/30/20.
  • Oozing of the Toes: After stopping ibrutinib, those cleared up, and two toenails that I lost have completely grown back now.
  • Mouth sores: They pop up occasionally, but are not severe and don't last long. Not sure what is causing them, unless I'm getting the real venetoclax.
