Side Effects and Update - Tuesday, October 1, 2019
The side effects that I’ve experienced include GI problems, mouth sores, blood oozing from a couple of toes.
9/24/2019 – Had a CT Scan – results were that my cancer was in remission after 12 weeks on the trial.
9/30/2019 – Had a PET Scan to confirm there was no active cancer cells in my body. Confirmed. This second scan was required by the trial, and done at their expense. Thank you very much.
10/1/2019 – The left side of my big toe on my left foot (I call it L1L) was oozing too much, so I saw a podiatrist to have the edge of the toenail removed. The ibrutinib was also stopped for 10 days because it acts as a blood thinner. I continued to take the venetoclax/placebo.
